We are expecting a new niece this summer which is the perfect opportunity to practice the art of creating that awful squeeeeeeee noise that ladies love to shatter windows with so much. Let me demonstrate:
SQUEEEEEEEEEE– May I suggest ear plugs?
It is the teeniest tiniest witty bitty thing (see object inserted for scale) and it is oh-so-soft. I have never made anything as complexly pieced as a sweater before, so that was... interesting. It resulted in several tweets of the, "someone, help me figure this out" variety and several people were kind enough to comply. That's why I love twitter. See also: pony & dick jokes. But anyway, things obviously turned out fine. SHAZAM, GO ME.
Ka-nitters, the pattern is a freebie and you can find it here: Lazy Daisy Baby Jacket. It was not terribly complicated though the instructions could use improvement. Beware- the instructions top of page and instructions bottom of page are not identical so pick one version and stick with it.
(Along with the pattern is a picture of a baby actually IN the sweater, which is frankly, freaking ridiculous. Actually, don't even go look. You'll DIE and never come back and I really need you here.)
