This is the first summer where I have felt like Jude could partake in wild outrageous summer craziness and we are living it up poolside as often as possible, camping until our filthy clothes rot off, fishing, crabbing, and generally rolling around in large piles of hot dirt. All things you CAN do with a toddler but somehow aren't as much fun as they seem like they ought to be.
Past summers have been good, but he's finally hit an age where he can DO more things and requires slightly less supervision and it's made all the difference in how much I actually get to participate and enjoy myself. The result? I haven't looked forward to a boiling hot day this much since I was a kid myself.
SUMMER IS BACK.
